This is pretty slick! Just saw a kind of "Cursor for PCB design" (though far better—having proper ground truth parts, design rule checks, etc.) the other day and it really clicked that there's going to be one for everything, and the more well-established and rule-based the better. Cursor is actually surprisingly thin when compared to something that is actually fit for purpose, and imagine being able to generate a whole—technically feasible, AND aesthetic—building would be incredibly cool. From gen images, to contracting, scheduling, interior sourcing, etc...

Oh nice, what is it called? The Induct guys were just talking about the wins / losses of using chatGPT to help with circuit board design if I was following correctly.

I'm liking this current wave of 'human-in-a-mech-suit' type softwares. In contrast, if I were to imagine a workflow where it's 'one-prompt and done' the level of specificity one would need to achieve with the instructions would recreate a lot of the initial difficulty that we're looking to improve on.

I could see us getting closer to 'one-and-done' but only when AI solutions develop further system thinking//ownership, as well as better monitoring of the 'state of nature' when they work.

It's www.flux.ai/p and I'll give it a try soon and let you know if it's good! Yeah I think the main issue is that text just simply isn't good at representing or interfacing with lots of things, nor is it good for interfacing. I think purpose built UIs are still going to be v useful, possibly even moreso, but the standard should be much higher! I think you'd enjoy the work of Geoffrey Litt and the Ink & Switch crowd in general. Worth checking out www.inkandswitch.com
